Seasonal Greetings to you all!
I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you what is happening with regard to maintenance and improvements at our terrific village hall. A great deal of this is paid for by you lovely residents booking the hall for various events, or attending the various activities on offer or by attending our regular events. Coming up soon we have our Christmas Fair and a Winter Cabaret evening - details on our front page. We'd love as many of you as possible to attend both events to both boost our funds and enjoy what's on offer!
The height restriction barrier should be installed this week at 1.75metres. Clearly any regular user of the hall with a vehicle above that height will be given the code.
Also I’m pleased to report that one of our Mitsubishi air source heat pumps which is on the blink will be replaced free of charge other than installation costs so hopefully the hall should feel warmer. This should be done at the end of this month.
PLUS the 123 year old roof is in need of a check up. The hall is a fabulous village resource but needs, like any old building, constant care and the more it is used the more we are able to fund repairs and developments.
As ever, thank you all for your support. A team effort is required to make everything run smoothly and we are all happy to volunteer our services as we know that it is appreciated. We look forward to seeing you and your families at our events.
